How to make Chicken Tikka Masala (Recipe)
Here is a simple recipe for chicken tikka masala:
Ingredients:-
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 2 tsp garam masala
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 can (14 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions:-
1. In a large bowl, mix together the yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, garam masala, paprika, turmeric, cumin, salt, and cayenne pepper. Add the chicken pieces and marinate in the refrigerator for at least one hour, or overnight for best results.
2. Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the onion and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
3. Add the marinated chicken (discard the marinade) and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
4. Add the tomato sauce and bring to a simmer. Cover and cook for 10 minutes.
5. Stir in the heavy cream and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
6. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
Serve with rice and naan bread. Enjoy!
