Making Chips and Queso (Recipe)
Ingredients:-
For the Chips:
- 8-10 corn tortillas
- Oil for frying
For the Queso:-
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:-
1. Preheat the oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
2. Cut the corn tortillas into triangles or any desired shape.
3. Fry the tortilla pieces in hot oil for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crisp. Remove from oil and drain excess oil on a paper towel.
4. For the queso, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat.
5. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes or until smooth and bubbly.
6. Gradually pour in the milk, whisking constantly to prevent lumps from forming.
7. Bring the mixture to a boil and reduce heat to low, stirring occasionally.
8. Add the shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
9. Serve the crispy chips and queso dip hot and enjoy.
