How to make French fries: Recipe
- 4 large potatoes
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
1. Peel and cut the potatoes into thin, even strips.
2. Soak the potato strips in a bowl of cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
3. Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with paper towels.
4. Heat the oil in a deep saucepan or deep fryer over medium-high heat until it reaches a temperature of 375°F (190°C).
5. Fry the potato strips in small batches until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-5 minutes depending on the size and thickness of the fries.
6. Remove the fries from the oil with a slotted spoon or wire mesh basket and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
7. Season the fries with salt to taste.
8. Serve hot and enjoy!
