How to make Garlic Knots (Recipe)

To make garlic knots, follow these steps:
1. In a mixing bowl, combine 2 ½ cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 2 ¼ teaspoons of instant yeast.

2. Add 1 cup of warm water, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, and 2 minced garlic cloves to the dry ingredients. Mix until a soft dough forms.

3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours, or until it doubles in size.

5. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

6. Punch down the dough and divide it into small portions. Roll each portion into a rope-like shape, about 6-8 inches long.

7. Tie each rope into a knot, tucking the ends under to secure them.

8. Place the knots on a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving some space between them.

9. Melt 4 tablespoons of butter and mix it with 2 minced garlic cloves. Brush the mixture over each knot, ensuring they are well coated.

10. Sprinkle shredded Parmesan cheese and dried parsley over the knots.

11. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the knots are golden brown and cooked through.

12. Serve warm and enjoy your homemade garlic knots.

Note: You can also dip the knots in marinara sauce or garlic butter for added flavor.
