How to prepare Gyoza (Best Recipe)
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 1/2 cups finely chopped cabbage
- 3 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 24-30 gyoza wrappers
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground pork, cabbage, green onions, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and garlic until well combined.
2. Lay one gyoza wrapper on a flat surface and place a spoonful of the pork mixture in the center. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water using your finger or a brush.
3. Fold the wrapper in half and pinch the edges together to seal, creating a half-moon shape. Repeat until all the filling is used up.
4. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the vegetable oil. Place the gyoza in the skillet, seam-side up, in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes or until the bottoms are golden brown.
5. Add 1/4 cup water to the skillet and cover with a lid. Allow the gyoza to steam for 5-6 minutes or until the water has evaporated and the pork is cooked through.
6. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as soy sauce or ponzu. Enjoy!
